Quotes from the Road, Part 4
Walking in the South Luanga, Zambia
James, our guide at Bullimungwe, a Bushcamps property: “Can you tell what this is?”
Muriel: “Yes, zebra droppings.”

James, our guide at Bilimungwe, Bushcamps, South Luangwa, Zambia. These are actually from an impala.
A few minutes later…
James exclaims: “And look at this! This is from the mango tree. See the animal can’t digest it.”
As our guide sticks his hand into a fresh pile of poop and pulls out a hard seed which he spins around and looks at admiringly.
James: “Which animal is this from?”
A unified “ick” from the walkers.

Muriel with a slightly upturned lip: “It’s elephant dung.”
Just moments later, he bends down suddenly. As he starts to reach into the pile of hippo poo and the undigested grass, Muriel says, “Ok, this is enough shit before breakfast. Please wash your hands.”
