Executive Producer, Director, Writer and On-Air Talent: Michaela S. Guzy; Shot by: Benjamin Malherbe and Ryan Carpenter; Edited by: Kevin “Pinky” Drew; Graphics by: Kaitlyn Jackson; Mixed by: Novacaine Studio; Live Set by: DJ Alex Cruz.

Come for personal discovery or to be part of a like minded community. Come with no expectations for the first time or as part of your favorite annual tradition. No matter your reason, join 12,000 others on the playa of the Northern Cape of South Africa for a week of collaborative art installations, DJs under the stars, meditations, stimulating seminars, and mindful encounters with people from all across the planet.

While you might have preconceived notions of AfrikaBurn, the largest Burning Man regional, journey with Michaela to the playa to catch a glimpse of the diverse global family you didn’t even know you wanted to be a part of. A collective of beautiful beings that transcend cultures, religions and regions, come together on a stretch of secluded African desert as far as the eye can see. Michaela sets out to meet these radically self reliant individuals who help co-create this temporary Utopian society. And oh, the inspiring people she meets! Michaela interviews mothers, international and local DJs, the artists who construct stories-high sculptures that are burned just nights later, AfrikaBurn’s co-founder and even Steven Raspsa, Arts Advocate and Community Events Producer for Burning Man.

Journey with Michaela onto the dusty desert floor of AfrikaBurn.
