SERIES SYNOPSIS:
Hi, I’m Michaela Guzy, founder of the content house, OhThePeopleYouMeet focusing on PEOPLE, PLACES + PURPOSES. We create + produce this exclusive series, “OhThePeopleYouMeet with Michaela Guzy”, which shifts the traditional show model from host to curator, in order to empower our local hosts to share their own stories + promote inclusivity.

I curate REAL PEOPLE who you can actually meet when traversing the globe — including local chefs + winemakers to artists, djs, changemakers and even the legendary Dr. Jane Goodall. My focus is how to go sustainably + who to know when you are there.

Each episode I will take digital nomads and armchair travelers alike on a journey of a lifetime to immerse themselves in the characters, culture + cuisine that will forever transform your perspective and give a true sense of place.

Pack a bag + journey on with me,
@MichaelaGuzy

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
“The Territory” is famous for Outback desert landscapes. The “NT” is home to the UNESCO site of Uluru, coastal city of Darwin, remote Tiwi Islands and Mary River. Locals will warn you not to swim here due to the 250,000+ crocodiles that call their waterways home. In this episode we’ll meet Aboriginal People who will teach us about cave paintings and street art. They share the importance of oneness with nature, their stories of creation and inter-connectedness reflect a deep reverence and harmony with the land and its animals. We’ll learn about bush taka and eat ants! People think of the crocodile hunter when they think of the NT, by meeting the local people, you realize you aren’t just visiting a place, you are discovering an ancient world, with traditions that date back 60,000 years with nomadic inhabitants who are the oldest continuous living culture on the planet.
