Hi, I’m Michaela Guzy, founder of the content house, OhThePeopleYouMeet focusing on PEOPLE, PLACES + PURPOSES. We create + produce this exclusive series, “OhThePeopleYouMeet with Michaela Guzy”, which shifts the traditional show model from host to curator, in order to empower our local hosts to share their own stories + promote inclusivity.

I curate REAL PEOPLE who you can actually meet when traversing the globe — including local chefs + winemakers to artists, djs, changemakers and even the legendary Dr. Jane Goodall. My focus is how to go sustainably + who to know when you are there.

Each episode I will take digital nomads and armchair travelers alike on a journey of a lifetime to immerse themselves in the characters, culture + cuisine that will forever transform your perspective and give a true sense of place.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
This episode is chocked full of people, places + purposes that you MUST experience for yourself. The country of Rwanda is best known for it’s gorilla population and world class coffee has recently experienced a genocide killing over a million people, and yet, when you speak with the local people, there is a sense of hope and unity that trickles down from the President to the residents of Rwanda.

Join OTPYM Founder, Michaela Guzy, as we explore the vast and diverse beauty of the land of a 1,000 hills, Rwanda. We’ll meet local people working to conserve the country’s precious gorilla population, young genocide survivors creating sustainable employment for local women, even luxury hotels working to create sustainable opportunities within their surrounding communities, coffee growers and the people responsible for repopulating the BIG 5 Akagera National Park.
