Hi, I’m Michaela Guzy, founder of the content house, OhThePeopleYouMeet focusing on PEOPLE, PLACES + PURPOSES. We create + produce this exclusive series, “OhThePeopleYouMeet with Michaela Guzy”, which shifts the traditional show model from host to curator, in order to empower our local hosts to share their own stories + promote inclusivity.

I curate REAL PEOPLE who you can actually meet when traversing the globe — including local chefs + winemakers to artists, djs, changemakers and even the legendary Dr. Jane Goodall. My focus is how to go sustainably + who to know when you are there.

Each episode I will take digital nomads and armchair travelers alike on a journey of a lifetime to immerse themselves in the characters, culture + cuisine that will forever transform your perspective and give a true sense of place.

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:
Australia has over 60 wine producing regions, over 2,000 wineries and South Australia makes about 50% of the country’s wine production. The capital, Adelaide, is the gateway to Australia’s best wine country. In this episode, we will cycle through the vineyards and blend our own wine under the guidance of a legendary winemaker at his family owned vineyard. Drinking wine isn’t the only activity in South Australia, travelers can also catapult watermelons, indulge in chocolate pairings and explore local wildlife from parrots to wombats. For up close wildlife encounters, we will swim with giant tuna off the Eyre Peninsula and set off with scientists to find endangered echidnas, glossy black cockatoos and sea lion colonies on Kangaroo Island. Our trip to South Australia may have started with sipping new world wines, surrounded by local wildlife, but it’s the people that you meet that will bring you back for more.
